It’s really hard to get a feel for Genshin Impact from videos and gameplay trailers. At first glance it seems like a cheesy attention grabbing game with little behind it, but once you get into the game itself you quickly realize that it’s incredibly deep. Genshin Impact is an ever-expanding open-world adventure game that heavily incorporates elements of action role playing games as well.
You are free to explore a beautifully designed world with sprawling cities and a gripping storyline. You can follow the quest line as it takes you through the world and introduces you to new characters, some of which you can recruit to join your party. Or you can choose to explore the world and collect the different powers and resources spread throughout the land.
The game itself can be really calming and relaxing to play as you jump off high cliffs and glide around the world. However, the combat can be intense as you can utilize different combos and characters to deliver heavy damage to enemies and bosses.

The game incorporates some aspect of multiplayer through groups and coop play. This primarily takes place in dungeons, so the multiplayer isn’t very extensive as of right now. However the developer plans on adding more coop play and possibly PvP in later updates.
Gameplay
Genshin Impact combines RPG character development with an action/adventure combat system. Each character has distinct abilities and weapons they can use, and it’s up to the player to build effective combos and synchronization between the characters in their party. You will have to level up and equip your characters so they can reach their maximum effectiveness so this does add some grinding elements to the game.
World of Warcraft
There are very few gamers that haven’t heard of World of Warcraft, even if you aren’t a fan of MMORPGs you’ve probably heard of one of the most popular ones on the market. World of Warcraft (WoW) has been around since 2004 and has released 8 expansions so far. The game has grown from a measly two continents of content to adding several more continents, islands, worlds, and even alternate timelines.
Up until Shadowlands the older content was kind of a mess. The leveling process was a little wonky and it was a pretty difficult and time consuming activity. Thankfully with the release of the Shadowlands expansion, leveling and making your way through older content has been streamlined and made considerably easier. That means it’s a great time to jump into the game if you’ve been thinking about it.
As a massive MMORPG, WoW offers a wide variety of activities you can take part in. If you prefer battling against other players then you might enjoy the battlegrounds that pit large groups of players against each other, or the arenas that focus on battling groups as small as 2 people. If you prefer dungeons and PvE type activities then there are a ton of different dungeons and raids to take part in.
One of the best parts of World of Warcraft is the community around the game. Guilds provide an excellent way to meet people to group up and play with, and many friendships and relationships have been established through the game.
